The history of OGIO
OGIO was founded in 1987, and quickly established itself as a brand famous for working with durable materials and plenty of pockets. With a focus on golf equipment, they quickly developed a reputation for producing goods which could withstand rough conditions, supported by innovative technology.
Over their 30 plus years working in the industry of sports goods and apparel, they’ve undergone several significant changes, whilst staying true to their values. In 2017, they were bought by the golf company Callaway, and underwent a total brand refresh in 2018.
This brand refresh sought to reemphasize their commitment to making items of the highest quality, with a new focus on sustainability and equality. This has led to the development of several exciting new ranges. The introduction of Cordura EcoMade material into their bags is an excellent example, with each bag acting as a new home for 23 recycled plastic bottles. They’ve also made exciting steps with their new XIX (19) range of golf equipment. What makes XIX so exciting is that their goods are truly designed for women, by women, and are properly modeled to suit the female form, rather than simply being made smaller and pinker than their male counterparts.
